The Level 6 Diploma in Animal Osteopathy (DAO) provides a comprehensive, career-defining qualification. It was developed in collaboration with the Ofqual Awarding Organization and Gatehouse Awards to address the rapidly changing regulatory environment in the UK animal therapy sector. This diploma provides in-depth training in classical structural osteopathy and includes Equine and Canine streams. The curriculum, developed by osteopaths and vets, covers advanced anatomy, biomechanics, philosophy, and clinical practice, delivered via blended learning: self-paced online studies and supervised practical training.
Upon graduation, you will get direct entry into a professional career as an Animal Osteopathic Practitioner. Graduates have excellent employment prospects, including opportunities in veterinary practices or as independent, self-employed practitioners.
